Senior National Account Manager | Grocery | FMCG | No 1 Brand | Top 4 Retail
The Business
Our client is one of the UK’s most respected branded FMCG businesses, home to a portfolio of market-leading consumer brands with exceptional heritage, strong household penetration and an enviable position across UK Grocery.
This is a business where brands genuinely matter.
Long-term investment in Consumer Marketing, Category, Insight, Innovation and Customer Development has created brands with significant consumer loyalty and strong retailer partnerships. Yet despite their established market positions, there remains considerable ambition for further growth.
The culture is equally important. The business combines the commercial capability and sophistication you would expect from a leading FMCG organisation with a long-term, values-led approach to its people, customers and brands.
As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an outstanding Senior National Account Manager to lead one of their strategically important Grocery customers.
The Opportunity
This is a high-profile commercial role offering genuine ownership of a major UK Grocery partnership and the opportunity to influence the future growth of some exceptional consumer brands.
As Senior National Account Manager, you will take responsibility for the complete customer agenda, balancing the delivery of today's commercial performance with the development of a longer-term strategic partnership. You will own the customer P&L, lead Joint Business Planning and commercial negotiations, and work closely with Category, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain and Innovation to create compelling plans that deliver sustainable growth for both businesses.
This is not simply about managing an account.
You will use consumer, shopper and category insight to identify where the next phase of growth will come from, whether through distribution, range development, innovation, promotional strategy, new shopper occasions or stronger execution. You will become the internal champion for your customer and a trusted external commercial partner.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
