The Opportunity
Senior National Account Manager
Home Based | UK Grocery Retail | FMCG Food Manufacturing
A growing international food manufacturer is looking to appoint a Senior National Account Manager to help drive the next phase of its UK growth strategy.
Backed by a global parent business with annual revenues of approximately £500M, the UK operation generates c.£24M turnover and has established relationships with several major UK grocery retailers. Significant recent investment, combined with an extensive product portfolio, is creating opportunities for expansion across new categories, customers and channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will take ownership of key retail customer relationships whilst helping shape the wider commercial strategy of the business.
- This is more than a traditional account management role. You will play a visible part in supporting category growth, securing new listings, developing customer relationships and identifying new commercial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop major UK grocery retail accounts
- Lead annual negotiations, JBPs and trading discussions
- Deliver profitable sales growth across existing customers
- Secure new listings and increase distribution opportunities
- Develop compelling customer propositions and category growth plans
- Identify opportunities across retail, wholesale and foodservice channels
- Contribute to future commercial strategy and business diversification
- Work cross-functionally with international product, supply chain and operational teams
The Person
- National Account Manager or Senior National Account Manager experience within FMCG
- Proven success managing major UK grocery retailers
- Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship management skills
- Track record of delivering profitable growth and new business opportunities
- Experience within food manufacturing, chilled, frozen or adjacent FMCG categories would be advantageous
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment

Location: Home based with regular customer travel and occasional visits to HQ
