Senior National Account Manager – Grocery
St Albans – 4 days per week in-office
Competitive salary + bonus + benefits
I’m working with Lotus Bakeries to recruit a Senior National Account Manager for BEAR, one of the UK’s leading kids’ healthier snacking brands.
BEAR is the No.1 brand in kids’ fruit snacking, with around 34% market share, and the brand is going through an exciting relaunch this year, new look, new character, new flavours, and a real focus on bringing the brand to life in-store and with consumers.
About the Role
This role will sit in the Grocery team, working across major retail customers. There is some flexibility on accounts depending on experience, but the team covers customers such as Asda, Ocado, Morrisons and Co-op, with discounters also potentially coming into the mix.
The business is aiming for 10% YoY growth, and there’s a lot to go after. JBPs, feature space, back-to-school activation, range, distribution and winning at the key trading moments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow key Grocery accounts for BEAR
- Own customer plans, JBPs, forecasting, promotions and P&L delivery
- Build stronger customer relationships and unlock opportunities with buyers
- Drive distribution, visibility, feature space and seasonal activation
- Support the relaunch of the BEAR brand across retail customers
- Work closely with Category, Shopper Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance
- Use data and insight to identify gaps, risks and growth opportunities
- Help shape customer plans across both kids and adult fruit snacking

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we’re looking for
- Existing SNAM or strong NAM ready to step up
- Degree Qualified
- FMCG Grocery experience, ideally within branded food or snacking
- Confident managing JBPs, promotions, forecasting and P&L
- Strong relationship builder who can get close to buyers and influence internally
- Commercially sharp, organised and comfortable working at pace
- Someone positive, ambitious and keen to grow within a strong branded business
This is a great opportunity to join a brand with strong momentum, a clear relaunch plan and plenty of internal progression available. BEAR is already winning in a number of customers, but there’s still a lot of opportunity to build in others.
