Senior National Account Manager – Grocery

£60,000–£65,000 + 20% bonus + company car/car allowance + benefits

Ready to step up from NAM to Senior NAM?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a major European food manufacturer with an exciting portfolio of innovative chilled and frozen products.

You’ll manage and grow a portfolio of major UK grocery customers, taking greater commercial ownership and playing an important role within an ambitious retail team.

The role

  • Own and develop relationships with major grocery customers (Tesco plus an additional retailer)
  • Create and deliver customer growth plans
  • Lead commercial negotiations, pricing and promotional strategy
  • Identify new listings and distribution opportunities
  • Work closely with NPD, category, supply chain, operations and technical teams
  • Support the development and launch of innovative private-label products
  • Deliver profitable, sustainable account growth

What we’re looking for

  • Current experience managing grocery retail customers within food or FMCG
  • An experienced NAM ready to step up, or an existing SNAM seeking a new challenge
  • Strong commercial, negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Experience working cross-functionally
  • Private-label experience would be highly advantageous
  • Ambition, energy and the confidence to take greater ownership

Package and location

  • £60,000–£65,000 basic salary
  • 20% bonus
  • Company car or £5,400 car allowance
  • Pension and additional benefits
  • Home-based, with up to two days per week at the South Wales office
  • Customer meetings count towards that weekly requirement, so office attendance is reduced when customer visits are scheduled
