About Big Potato Games
Big Potato Games is an award-winning games company known for creating bold, funny and brilliantly simple games that people actually want to play. We work with some of the UK’s biggest and best retailers and are growing fast… which is where you come in.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded Senior National Account Manager to join our UK retail team on a maternity cover contract for a minimum of 12 months, with the potential to extend. You’ll manage a portfolio of major retail partners, lead a small account management team and take ownership of the overall UK retail sales forecast.
This is a hands-on role with a wider view of the UK business. Working closely with the Commercial Director, you’ll bring together account plans and forecasts, spot risks and opportunities early, and help the team deliver profitable growth and excellent execution for our retail partners.
Key Responsibilities
UK retail leadership and forecasting
- Own the overall UK retail sales forecast, bringing account-level forecasts into a clear, accurate view of performance against budget.
- Lead regular forecast and performance reviews, identifying risks, opportunities and the actions needed to deliver the UK retail target.
- Challenge and support the team to keep account forecasts realistic, current and grounded in customer plans and sales data.
- Work with Finance, Supply Chain and Operations so the forecast informs stock, demand and commercial planning.
- Give the Commercial Director clear updates on UK retail performance, including changes to the outlook and proposed actions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
