We’re hiring a Senior National Account Manager to join our Wholesale & Convenience Sales Team!

This is a high-impact opportunity to shape and drive our Wholesale & Convenience strategy, building strong customer partnerships and delivering profitable growth across a diverse and exciting channel.

Freixenet Copestick Ltd are a major player in the UK drinks market and we’re proud to be the UK’s leading supplier of sparkling wines. In this role, you’ll lead our commercial strategy across key national and regional wholesale, cash & carry, symbol group and convenience customers, identifying opportunities to grow distribution, secure new listings and build our portfolio across the channel.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop and deliver account strategies and joint business plans across key Wholesale & Convenience customers
  • Own and deliver sales, volume, distribution and profitability targets across the customer portfolio
  • Build strong, multi-level relationships with key customer stakeholders
  • Identify and secure new business opportunities, including new customers, listings, distribution and portfolio expansion
  • Grow distribution of FXC’s core, strategic and agency brands across wholesale, convenience and cash & carry customers
  • Lead customer negotiations across pricing, promotions, ranging, trading terms and annual commercial agreements
  • Use sales data, category insight, consumer trends and competitor activity to build compelling customer proposals
  • Develop and manage promotional and activation plans that deliver incremental sales and profitable growth
  • Own accurate customer and SKU forecasting, working closely with Demand Planning and Supply Chain
  • Partner with Category Management, Customer Marketing and Marketing to develop plans that deliver against customer and brand objectives
  • Work closely with Commercial Finance to understand customer profitability and evaluate commercial investment
  • Stay close to market and competitor developments, using insight to identify new opportunities
  • Represent FXC at customer meetings, trade events and industry activity
  • Share customer and channel insight with the wider Sales and Commercial teams
  • Take ownership of projects and initiatives that support the continued growth of the Wholesale & Convenience channel

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience in national account management, ideally within FMCG, drinks, grocery, wholesale or convenience
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with confidence interpreting sales data and understanding customer profitability
  • Proven ability to build and influence senior customer relationships and negotiate effectively
  • Strong track record of delivering sales growth through new business, distribution, listings, promotions and customer development
  • Highly organised and analytical, with strong forecasting, planning and account management skills
  • Confident using Excel and Microsoft Office tools
  • Excellent influencing, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Collaborative and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Customer-focused and solutions-driven, with the confidence to challenge and negotiate when required
  • A genuine interest in the drinks industry, brands and the Wholesale & Convenience channel
  • WSET qualification or equivalent wine knowledge would be desirable, but is not essential
