About Humberts
At Humberts, we think differently. We provide a premium, bespoke service to our clients, delivering honest advice and thorough support with a friendly, approachable manner. Moving home can be a stressful journey, and our mission is to make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We invest time in every transaction, from the initial negotiation right through to chasing down chains and final completion.
We are looking for a dynamic, multi-skilled Sales Progressor & Senior Negotiator to join our Sevenoaks team. This is a dual-focus role designed for an estate agency professional who thrives on both securing the deal and seeing it across the finish line.
The Role
In this pivotal dual role, you will manage the full lifecycle of the property sale. You will act as a senior point of contact in the branch, utilising your market expertise to negotiate offers, while simultaneously taking full ownership of the post-sales pipeline. You will be the critical link between buyers, sellers, solicitors, financial advisors, and other agents, ensuring properties move efficiently from initial viewing through to exchange and completion.
Key Responsibilities
Deal Negotiation & Front-End Sales
- Enquiry Handling: Along with the rest of the team, you will be responsible for dealing with incoming enquiries via phone, web portals, and email, registering and booking appointments for them to view, including effecting diary management for the office.
- Offer Negotiation: Receive, present, and skilfully negotiate offers between buyers and vendors to achieve the best possible outcomes.
- Applicant Management: Qualify applicants, build strong relationships, and identify opportunities to cross-sell financial services or conveyancing.
- Market Expertise: Provide high-level advice to clients, ensuring premium customer service that aligns with the Humberts brand.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
