Senior.NET Engineer – AI Acceleration (Contract)
Location: 1 Day per week in London
Contract: 6 months
Rate: £450-£550 | IR35: Outside | Start: 4 weeks
About the role
Our client, a leading UK fintech, is looking for a senior.NET engineer with deep experience in AI agents and AI tooling.
You'll spend the first half of the contract in their AI Acceleration squad, building agents, AI integrations, and the tooling that makes their engineers faster. In the second half, you may move partly or fully into their product squads, doing hands-on C# and .NET development with AI-assisted ways of working.
The ideal person is a strong AI and agent builder with a solid.NET background, rather than a data scientist or machine learning researcher.
What you'll deliver
- Three automation agents for the Onboarding and Transaction Operations teams, built, deployed, and supported in production.
- The coding harness: contributions to the internal setup for AI-assisted development (agent instruction files, skills, tools, and integrations).
- A "second brain": indexing the codebase and business knowledge so AI tools can use it, improving speed and quality across engineering.
- AI adoption: helping engineering teams adopt approved AI tools and AI-assisted ways of working.
- Product features: hands-on .NET delivery in product squads during the second half of the contract.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
