Senior Network and Engagement Officer
Salary
£29,930.91 for 0.8 FTE, based on a full-time salary of £37,413.64, plus 8% pension contribution
Location
London, UK
Working Arrangement
Hybrid, with regular in-person meetings in London
Contract
Fixed-term for approximately 11–12 months, expected to conclude around 30 September 2027
Hours
Part-time, 0.8 FTE, ideally four days per week, with flexibility available

Overview
Our client, an independent charity focused on responsible investment, is seeking a Senior Network and Engagement Officer to support UK-based networks of finance and investment professionals within the charity and university sectors.
You will help design and deliver an annual programme of events, research and engagement activities while supporting the effective operation of the networks. The role combines project management, member engagement, events, communications and monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL).
Responsibilities
- Help develop and deliver annual network workplans, projects and research activities.
- Organise online and in-person member meetings, workshops, webinars and other events.
- Engage prospective members and support the onboarding and ongoing engagement of existing members.
- Monitor relevant developments in responsible investment affecting charities and universities.
- Manage member communications, resources and updates, including newsletters, blogs and other written content.
- Implement and maintain the networks' monitoring, evaluation and learning strategy.
- Track delivery against workplans and lead data collection and impact reporting.
- Maintain accurate project and member records using project management systems and Salesforce.
- Monitor member invoice payments and support secretariat meetings, planning and administration.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems and processes supporting effective network delivery.

Requirements
- Commitment to responsible investment and an interest in the financial system's social and environmental impact.
- Demonstrable project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines.
- Proven experience organising online, hybrid and/or in-person events.
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt content for different formats and audiences.
- Strong organisational skills and a proactive, collaborative approach.
- Proficiency with common computer software, including Microsoft Office.
Desirable
- Experience working with networks, coalitions or communities of practice.
- Experience or understanding of the charity and/or university sectors.
- Experience or understanding of environmental and/or social justice campaigning.
- Understanding of the financial system and current responsible investment debates.
- Familiarity with budgeting.
- Research experience, or willingness to develop research skills.
- Experience using project management, community management and/or database management software.

Application Process
First-stage interviews will take place online between 6 and 13 October 2026 and will be followed by a short task. Second-stage online interviews are scheduled between 14 and 23 October 2026.
The recruitment process is anonymised. A cover letter is not required, and CVs are not reviewed until the interview stage.
