Senior Network Engineer | London | £80,000 + Bonus | Financial Services

We are looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a highly regulated, business-critical technology environment.

This is a senior hands-on engineering role with responsibility for the design, implementation, security, performance and resilience of enterprise network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, WLAN and SD-WAN environments
  • Manage routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs and network security technologies
  • Support secure connectivity across on-premise and cloud environments
  • Design and support Azure, AWS and hybrid-cloud networking
  • Implement network segmentation, access controls and Zero Trust principles
  • Provide Level 3 support and lead the resolution of major network incidents
  • Monitor network availability, capacity, latency and performance
  • Lead network migrations, upgrades and technology refreshes
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity and operational resilience
  • Provide technical leadership, review designs and mentor other engineers
  • Work with third-party vendors and managed service providers

Experience Required:

  • 8+ years' experience within enterprise network engineering
  • Strong routing, switching and network troubleshooting expertise
  • Extensive firewall, VPN and network security experience
  • Experience supporting highly available, business-critical environments
  • Strong cloud and hybrid networking experience
  • Experience with structured change, incident and problem management
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity and secure network design
