Senior Network Engineer
3 Month Contract
Location: Belfast City Centre
Working Arrangement: Hybrid - Must be 3 days onsite/2 days remote
Contract: 3 months
Day Rate: £400 - £450 DOE
Sector: Telecommunications/Technology Services
Start: Immediate/ASAP
Working Rights: Candidates must have Full time working rights in the UK. Sponsorship is not available.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a technical infrastructure team on an initial 3-month contract, supporting a busy operational environment in Belfast.
The successful candidate will provide hands-on support across BAU network operations, while also assisting with ongoing network infrastructure and project delivery. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong Network Engineer with proven experience across both Fortinet and Cisco technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level support across enterprise network infrastructure and BAU operations.
- Configure, troubleshoot and maintain Fortinet network technologies, with particular focus on routing, switching and wireless.
- Support and troubleshoot Cisco routing and switching environments.
- Assist with Cisco Software-Defined Access (SDA) and Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
- Support enterprise wireless infrastructure across Fortinet and Cisco environments.
- Investigate and resolve complex network incidents and performance issues.
- Assist with network changes, upgrades, migrations and project delivery.
- Work closely with internal technical teams to ensure network availability, performance and security.
- Produce and maintain technical documentation relating to network infrastructure and changes.
- Provide hands-on technical expertise across both operational support and project activities.

Key Skills & Experience
Cisco
- Strong commercial experience as a Senior Network Engineer or similar.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Fortinet technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Fortinet routing, switching and wireless.
- Fortinet certification at NSE 4-5 level or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Strong Cisco networking experience.
- Cisco certification at CCNP/CCIE level or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with Cisco routing and switching.
- Experience with Cisco SDA.
- Experience with Cisco ISE.
- Strong enterprise wireless networking experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working across both BAU support and project delivery environments.
