Network & Telephony Architect / Engineer – NHS
12-month contract
Seeking a hands-on Network & Telephony Architect/Engineer to lead and deliver digital infrastructure transformation across a complex clinical environment.
This is a true architecture + delivery role, you will design solutions, lead projects and personally configure, troubleshoot and implement the technology.
Essential hands-on experience:
- Aruba Networking, Aruba ClearPass & FreeRADIUS
- Cisco & FortiGate Firewalls
- Mitel VoIP – physical and softphone environments
- Netcall

Key responsibilities:
- Architect, configure and troubleshoot LAN/WAN, NAC, firewalls and telephony
- Identify complex technical issues and independently design and implement solutions
- Lead network and telephony projects from discovery through to delivery
- Act as the technical authority, managing junior engineers and providing technical direction
- Support migrations, resolve deep technical issues and upskill permanent staff
- Manage technical risk and delivery within a high-consequence clinical environment

Must-have: Recent, demonstrable hands-on configuration and design experience across the technologies above. This is not a purely strategic/architectural position.
