Senior Network Engineer (Cisco Palo Alto) London / WFH

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands-on Network Engineer role at a scaling technology company that specialises in renewable energy storage and trading.
About the Role
As a Senior Network Engineer you will configure, deploy and maintain network infrastructure, including Cisco routers, Palo Alto firewalls and other network devices, troubleshooting issues to minimise disruption and ensure reliable performance.
Collaborating with customer networking teams, stakeholders and wider infrastructure teams, you'll help design, implement and enhance network infrastructure and security measures, including firewalls, VPNs and intrusion detection systems.

You'll also monitor network performance, identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen efficiency, security and resilience as well as contributing to increased infrastructure automation using IaC, Terraform and Python scripting.
Location / WFH
You can work from home in a hybrid model, joining the team in London twice a week.
About You
- Skilled Network Engineer with experience of configuring and managing Cisco and Palo Alto routers, switches and other hardware
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols and principles e.g. TCP/IP, UDP
- Experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
- Familiar with cloud networking concepts and services, particularly AWS networking (e.g., VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53)
- Collaborative and pragmatic, comfortable working with clients
