The Role

As a Senior Network Engineer, you will play a key role in the design, development and delivery of secure networking solutions supporting critical programmes and projects.

Day-to-day, you'll provide technical leadership across network-focused activities, working with project teams and stakeholders to deliver secure, reliable and innovative networking capabilities. You'll contribute throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation and delivery.

Your Responsibilities

  • Providing technical leadership across networking projects and programmes
  • Supporting the design, development and implementation of secure network solutions
  • Producing and maintaining network documentation, including design and configuration information
  • Working with project managers, technical leads and stakeholders to deliver customer requirements
  • Supporting technical reviews, change management and configuration control activities
  • Acting as a networking subject matter expert, providing guidance to colleagues and project teams

Essential Experience

Strong networking experience gained within enterprise, defence or secure environments
Experience supporting the design, implementation and troubleshooting of network infrastructure
Knowledge of network technologies, routing, switching and associated networking principles
Experience working within project delivery environments
Ability to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience providing technical leadership, guidance or mentoring to engineering teams

Essential Qualifications

CCNA, CCNP or equivalent networking qualification and experience
Active eDV clearance

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Malvern site with a minimum average site attendance of three days per week. The Malvern facility is noted for its work in electronic warfare, surveillance and complex system integration, contributing significantly to the UK’s defence capabilities. Developing technologies for military and civilian applications, including sensors, communications and cyber security.
