Description
Wanstor is an award-winning Managed IT Services provider helping ambitious organisations use technology to achieve better business outcomes — securely, efficiently, and at scale. Established in 2002, we deliver end-to-end technology services spanning managed IT support, cloud, infrastructure, networking, security, communications, and AI adoption services.
This is a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Network Engineer who wants more than a traditional MSP engineering role.
You’ll join Wanstor as part of a small, dedicated IT team supporting one of our key customers, spending three days a week on-site at their offices in The Shard. It’s an impressive environment to work in, but more importantly, the role gives you the chance to get genuinely close to the customer, understand their technology estate and have real ownership over how their network evolves.
Rather than moving between customers or simply picking up tickets, you’ll become a trusted technical presence within the customer, taking ownership of complex networking issues, improvements and projects. You’ll work across BAU and project activity, helping to design, implement and improve their network environment while spotting opportunities to make things more resilient, secure and effective.
You’ll still have the backing, expertise and wider technical community of Wanstor behind you, but with the autonomy and ownership that comes from being embedded with a customer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys being hands-on technically but also wants visibility, responsibility and influence — someone comfortable speaking directly with stakeholders, taking a problem away and owning it through to resolution, and playing a leading role in network projects rather than simply being handed individual tasks.

- Take the technical lead on network projects, from initial requirements and design through to implementation and handover

- Own technical changes and ensure they're properly planned, tested, documented and communicated

- Support network upgrades, migrations, refreshes and wider infrastructure projects
