My client, a technology-driven global proprietary trading firm, is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to join their team in London.

As part of this well-established and highly regarded firm, you'll play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure that underpins a fast-paced financial trading environment. This will involve managing and optimising production infrastructure, collaborating closely with systems administrators and security analysts, and ensuring high availability across colocations, cross-connects, and the broader network estate.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of network engineering experience within financial services, ideally in a hedge fund or similar environment.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience with hardware and software from vendors including Cisco, Arista, and F5.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as Nagios or Victoria Metrics.
  • Solid understanding of network security best practices.
  • Professional certifications such as CCNP or JNCIP would be highly desirable.
