What You'll Be Doing
- Lead the move from manual network management to automated infrastructure, driving best practice across the network estate.
- Design, build and implement automation solutions across enterprise LAN, WAN and datacentre environments.
- Develop and maintain automation using Python, Ansible and Terraform.
- Improve operational efficiency through automated provisioning, configuration management and monitoring.
- Manage and optimise centralised network management platforms, including Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers and key stakeholders to deliver scalable, resilient network solutions.
- Mentor colleagues, encourage knowledge sharing and help embed modern engineering practices across the team.
- Support a highly available environment through participation in an on-call rota and operational support when required.

Main Skills Needed
- Strong experience delivering network automation across enterprise infrastructure (non-cloud focused).
- Hands-on expertise with Python, Ansible and Terraform.
- Experience implementing or contributing to network automation transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of centralised network management and orchestration platforms, such as Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, including routing, switching and network security.
- Experience developing reusable automation frameworks, templates and standards.
- CCNP certification or equivalent commercial experience.
- Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Eligible to obtain SC Security Clearance.
