Senior Network Engineer - Up to £60k Salary - Hybrid working across Shrewsbury & Telford

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Network Engineer to join a large, complex enterprise environment, taking technical ownership across networking, security and telephony infrastructure.

This is a genuine hands-on senior engineering role combining technical leadership, architecture and project ownership with day-to-day engineering. You’ll have support from junior colleagues, but we’re looking for someone who is comfortable getting into the detail — personally configuring hardware, troubleshooting complex technical issues and independently taking projects from discovery through to successful delivery.

You’ll act as a senior technical authority across the network and telephony estate, identifying issues and designing practical solutions across enterprise LAN, WAN, security and voice environments.

You’ll independently lead multiple network and telephony projects through to completion, taking ownership of technical design, configuration, implementation and troubleshooting while carefully managing deployment risks within a high-consequence clinical environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What we're looking for:

This position would suit a Senior Network Engineer who enjoys being given genuine ownership rather than simply maintaining an existing environment.

You should be comfortable moving between technical strategy, architecture and hands-on engineering, with the ability to uncover problems, determine the right solution and then personally drive that solution through to implementation.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who have worked within large, complex or highly regulated environments, where resilience, change management and minimising operational risk are critical.
