Senior Network Hosting Engineer
A leading financial services organisation is looking for a Senior Network Hosting Engineer to lead the design and delivery of secure, resilient and high-performance network infrastructure across data centres, cloud, internet-facing and market-data environments. £850 P/D Inside Contract - 12 month extendable contract.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead network hosting architecture across on-prem, colocation, hybrid and multicloud environments.
- Design and optimise connectivity across AWS, Azure, GCP and Oracle Cloud.
- Architect low-latency market data environments, including multicast, cross-connects and exchange connectivity.
- Design secure, highly available infrastructure supporting payment and transactional platforms.
- Lead major data centre, cloud, internet hosting and network transformation projects.
- Provide technical leadership across complex L2–L7 networking and high-severity incidents.
- Drive automation, observability and Infrastructure-as-Code using tools such as Python and Ansible.
- Work closely with cloud providers, telcos, market-data vendors and senior stakeholders.
- Ensure environments meet security, resilience, regulatory and audit requirements.

Key Requirements

- 8–12+ years' experience in network engineering, hosting or network architecture.
- Strong L2–L7 networking knowledge, including BGP, OSPF, multicast and high availability.
- Experience with market data, financial services or other performance-critical environments.
- Strong multicloud and hybrid connectivity experience.
- Knowledge of network security, segmentation, Zero Trust and internet-facing infrastructure.
- Automation experience with Python, Ansible or Infrastructure-as-Code.
- Strong architectural, stakeholder management and technical leadership skills.
