Join a high-performing infrastructure engineering team responsible for designing, building and supporting the mission-critical platforms that power global electronic trading. This team operates at the heart of a highly regulated, performance-sensitive environment where reliability, security and low latency are fundamental.

This is a hands-on engineering role combining deep Linux systems expertise with advanced networking knowledge. You'll work across physical data centres, low-latency infrastructure and automation, collaborating with software engineers, platform teams and production support to continuously improve performance, resilience and operational excellence.

If you enjoy solving complex infrastructure problems, tuning Linux for maximum performance and building highly automated environments, this is an opportunity to work on some of the most technically demanding systems in the industry.

The Role

As a Senior Network & Linux Infrastructure Engineer, you'll be responsible for the design, deployment and operational support of large-scale on-premises infrastructure supporting business-critical trading applications.

You'll work across Linux, enterprise networking, automation and observability, ensuring infrastructure remains secure, resilient and optimised for high-performance workloads.

This role combines project delivery with production engineering, giving you the opportunity to build new infrastructure while acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

What Makes This Role Different

This is not a traditional infrastructure support position. You'll be engineering the platforms that underpin some of the most demanding production environments, where performance, resilience and automation are critical. You'll work across Linux, networking and infrastructure engineering, helping shape the next generation of highly available, low-latency platforms while solving complex technical challenges every day.

If you're passionate about Linux, networking and building resilient infrastructure at scale, this role offers an outstanding opportunity to work alongside highly experienced engineers using modern technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
