Senior Network Operations Engineer | Data Centre & DMZ | Contract | Remote | Inside IR35 | 6 months initially | $70 p/h

Are you an experienced Network Engineer with a strong background in Data Centre and DMZ environments? I'm currently looking for a skilled Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a global infrastructure team, providing high-level operational support across complex network environments.

What you'll be doing:

  • Providing Tier 2 operational support across global Data Centre and DMZ infrastructure
  • Troubleshooting complex network incidents and leading technical bridge calls through to resolution
  • Working across Cisco ASR/ISR, Cisco Nexus/Catalyst and Arista DCS environments
  • Supporting routing, switching, internet connectivity, aggregation, distribution and access layers
  • Analysing monitoring tools, dashboards and logs to identify service impact and restore services quickly
  • Taking ownership of major incidents, escalations, vulnerabilities and opportunities for network improvement
  • Supporting disaster recovery testing and proactive network reviews
  • Maintaining technical documentation, runbooks and network/application flow information
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership during incidents and operational activities
  • Working closely with global stakeholders across multiple time zones

Key technical experience:

Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, IPv4, Layer 2, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, Multicast, QoS, HSRP, ACLs, VPNs and tunnelling technologies is essential. You'll also ideally have experience with technologies and tools such as Cisco, Arista CloudVision, Splunk, SevOne, NetScout, Wireshark, Forward Networks, HPNA and network automation platforms.
