Senior Network & Security Engineer
CMC Markets is looking for an experienced Senior Network & Security Engineer to join our Technology team. This role plays a key part in designing, building and supporting our global network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, resilience and security across on-premise and cloud environments.
This is an onsite role - 5 days in London
You will work across both project delivery and business-as-usual operations, supporting critical trading platforms in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and maintain CMC Markets’ global LAN, WAN and cloud network infrastructure
- Deliver network engineering and design for new initiatives, alongside ongoing BAU growth and optimisation
- Monitor network performance, capacity and availability, providing proactive support and troubleshooting
- Implement new network services in line with internal policies, standards and security requirements
- Identify, advise on and remediate network and security risks
- Maintain secure VPN connectivity with external partners, ensuring alignment with current best practices
- Perform BAU changes and troubleshooting on Palo Alto and Cisco ASA firewalls
- Lead investigation and resolution of network and security incidents
- Collaborate closely with internal technology teams to resolve connectivity issues
- Maintain accurate technical documentation and diagrams
- Ensure all work is delivered in line with CMC Markets’ policies, procedures and compliance obligations

Skills & Experience
Essential
- Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Cisco ACI environments
- Hands-on experience with multicast networking
- CCNP-level networking knowledge or certification
- Proven experience designing and building data centre and cloud networks
- Solid knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms
- Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable
- Experience supporting Market Data network feeds
- Exposure to SD-WAN technologies
- Experience supporting low-latency production networks within trading or financial services environments
- Experience with Cisco ASA and Meraki Wireless
- Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
