Salary: £65,000 + Car Allowance
Security Clearance: Active SC Clearance Required

The Opportunity
We're working with a well-established Managed Service Provider based in Reading that is looking to strengthen its network engineering team with the appointment of an experienced Senior Network Engineer.
This is an excellent opportunity for a security-cleared network professional with strong Fortinet expertise to join a growing technical team supporting enterprise and government customers across complex networking and security environments.
The role will be based onsite in Farnborough and will suit someone who enjoys working on a mix of project delivery, network design, implementation, and high-level technical support.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement and support enterprise network and security solutions.
- Lead technical delivery of network transformation and upgrade projects.
- Deploy, configure and troubleshoot Fortinet security solutions.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex network incidents and problems.
- Work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation.
- Support change, capacity, and performance management activities.
- Collaborate with internal project, support, and security teams to ensure successful delivery.

Required Experience
- Active SC Clearance.
- Strong experience working within a Managed Service Provider or enterprise environment.
- Fortinet NSE/FSE Level 6 and Level 7 certifications.
- Extensive experience with:
- FortiGate
- FortiManager
- FortiAnalyzer
- Fortinet Security Fabric
- Strong knowledge of:
- Routing & Switching
- BGP/OSPF/MPLS
- VPN Technologies
- WAN & LAN Infrastructure
- Network Security
- Experience delivering network installations, migrations, and upgrades.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills.

Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting public sector or government environments.
- Cisco certification or experience.
- SD-WAN deployment experience.
- Exposure to hybrid cloud networking.
- Knowledge of wireless networking technologies.
