Location: London, UK (Onsite Primary Hub + Remote Multi-Site Support)
Type: Full-Time Contractual (8x5 + On-Call Rotation for P1 Incidents)
Security Clearance: Active BPSS Clearance Required

About the Role

Are you an experienced Network & Security Specialist looking to manage a robust, multi-site infrastructure across the UK? We are looking for a skilled Senior Engineer to join a dedicated two-person team supporting network operations, security, and maintenance across 11 key regional locations.

In this position, you will be based onsite at our main primary hub in London, providing direct hands-on support while remotely managing and securing the network footprint for 10 additional regional sites.

Tasks

The Infrastructure at a Glance

You’ll oversee a combined hardware footprint of ~350+ network devices, including:

  • 36 IP Firewalls
  • 7 IP Routers
  • 115 IP Switches
  • 45 SD-WAN Edge Devices
  • 142 Wireless Access Points (WAPs)

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Network & Security Operations: Maintain high availability and secure operations across firewalls, routers, switches, SD-WAN, and Wi-Fi architecture.
  • Incident & Problem Management: Provide Tier 2/3 troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and SLA-based resolution.
  • Lifecycle Maintenance: Manage firmware updates, configuration backups, security hardening, and OEM/vendor break-fix coordination.
  • Onsite & Remote Administration: Deliver local hands-on technical support at the primary London site while leveraging remote tools to manage the remaining 10 sites.
  • On-Call Support: Participate in an on-call rotation dedicated strictly to high-priority (P1) operational emergencies outside regular 8x5 business hours.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • Security Clearance: Active BPSS clearance (or full immediate eligibility).
  • Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration, multi-site operational management, and security governance.
  • Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of firewalls, routing/switching, SD-WAN, and enterprise wireless solutions.
  • Location: Must be residing in the UK with the ability to work onsite at our primary London site.
  • Certifications (Bonus): CCNA/CCNP, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE, or equivalent enterprise credentials.
