Senior Next.js Engineer
Rate: £450-500 (inside IR35/via umbrella)
Location: Remote - 1x monthly/ad-hoc travel to Coventry
Duration: 6 months
Sanderson are currently supporting a leading retail brand in the search for a Senior Next.JS Engineer to join their team and support multiple in store initiatives. This is a hands on engineering role for someone who can take ownership of solutions from design through to deployment. You will work across the full application lifecycle, helping shape technical direction, implementing best practice and ensuring high quality delivery across the wider engineering team.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and developing end to end web applications using Next.js.
- Building scalable full stack solutions that support critical business workflows.
- Working with MongoDB and application data services.
- Driving engineering standards and best practice across the team.
- Conducting code reviews and quality assurance of other engineers' work.
- Supporting architectural decisions and technical design discussions.
- Contributing to a range of innovative in store technology projects.

What we're looking for
- Strong commercial experience with Next.js.
- Experience working with modern React applications and server side rendering.
- Appp router experience.
- Experience working with MongoDB or similar NoSQL databases.
- Proven experience delivering end to end application development projects.
- Experience leading technical decisions and influencing engineering standards.
- Ability to review, mentor and improve the quality of code delivered by others.
- Experience working within a retail environment (desirable)
