Senior NLP Engineer
Remote (UK) | £100,000 - £120,000 + Benefits
Are you a Master's or PhD-qualified NLP specialist looking to build AI products at scale? This is an opportunity to join a growing AI and compliance technology business where you'll own NLP and LLM initiatives from research through to production, working on complex language challenges across enterprise communications data.
The Company
They are an AI-driven software business operating within the RegTech and compliance space, helping large organisations manage risk across digital communications. Their products leverage NLP, machine learning, and LLMs to analyse large volumes of unstructured data across text, voice, video, and collaboration platforms.

- Own NLP and AI projects from concept through to production deployment
- Build models and pipelines analysing text, audio, video, and other unstructured data
- Apply both classical NLP techniques and modern LLM approaches
- Develop scalable, customer-facing AI products and features
- Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams
- Contribute to technical direction within a highly experienced AI function
Your Skills & Experience
- Master's degree or PhD in NLP, Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related quantitative field
- Commercial experience building and deploying NLP or ML solutions into production
- Strong understanding of both traditional NLP methods and modern LLMs
- Experience taking products from research or prototype stage through to production
- Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals
- Experience working with large-scale unstructured data
- Exposure to compliance, cybersecurity, financial services, or other regulated environments is beneficial
