About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior NodeJS Backend Developer to join a rapidly growing SaaS software business. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic product and engineering team that values innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing scalable backend services using NodeJS and TypeScript, contributing directly to the core architecture of the company's platform.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in server-side development with proven experience in NodeJS and TypeScript. They should have a solid understanding of microservices architecture and experience working within cloud environments. Familiarity with database management, both SQL and NoSQL, is essential, along with a good grasp of CI/CD principles to support continuous integration and deployment processes.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include experience with NestJS, AWS or other cloud platforms, messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ, gRPC, and authentication protocols such as OAuth2 or AWS Cognito. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and a passion for building reliable, scalable backend systems.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing scalable server-side applications using NodeJS and TypeScript to meet business requirements.
- Taking ownership of backend features from initial design through to production deployment, ensuring high-quality delivery.
- Building, maintaining, and optimizing microservices architectures to support SaaS platform scalability and reliability.
- Writing comprehensive unit and integration tests to uphold software quality and system stability.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams within an Agile environment to ensure seamless integration and delivery.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of coding standards, development practices, and deployment processes.
- Participating in code reviews, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing to foster a collaborative engineering culture.
