Are you a dedicated, motivated nurse who wants to make a meaningful difference for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and complex health needs?

We’re offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Nurse (Band 6) to join the Craven Learning Disabilities Team at Bradford District Care NHS Foundation Trust.

We’re Looking For An NMC-registered Nurse Who

  • Has experience supporting children and young people with SEND and complex health needs
  • Communicates clearly and works well with others
  • Is flexible, proactive, and committed to improving outcomes for children
  • Embodies the Trust’s values and vision for inclusive healthcare
  • Has a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable children in their school environments

To work within the Children’s Learning Disability service in the Craven area.

The post holder will provide specialist health and behavioral assessments for children and young people referred to the Children’s Learning Disability Team. They will deliver evidence-based interventions across a range of settings, including the family home, educational environments, and community locations, ensuring care is tailored to individual needs.

Working collaboratively with parents, carers, partner agencies, and key stakeholders, the post holder will promote the delivery of responsive, effective, safe, and person-centred services that achieve positive outcomes for children and young people with learning disabilities.

The role will also contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the Children’s Learning Disability Service, providing clinical leadership, supervision, and line management to staff within the team to support high-quality practice and service delivery.

The individual will provide clinical nursing expertise to children referred to the team.

The post holder will be responsible for providing supervision and the management of a defined caseload.
