Are you an inspirational children's nurse leader ready to shape the future of integrated paediatric services?

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Nurse for Integrated Paediatrics to provide strategic, compassionate, and visible leadership across a diverse portfolio of hospital and community children's services.

Working alongside senior clinical and operational leaders, you will lead strategic improvements, champion patient safety, and ensure outstanding experiences for children, young people, and their families who use our services.

We are looking for a highly motivated children's nurse with:

  • Significant senior leadership experience
  • Strong operational and financial management skills
  • A passion for transforming services

You will be a visible role model, empowering teams to deliver compassionate, evidence-based care while fostering innovation, accountability, inclusion, and professional development.

Role Responsibilities

The post holder will provide forward-thinking and professional leadership to all nursing staff and other staff groups, within the Integrated Arm of the Children’s Division. The post holder will have responsibility for:

  • Ward areas 7D and the Paediatric Assessment Unit
  • Children’s Hospital at Home
  • Community Children’s Nursing Services based at Mile End Hospital, including the Looked After Children’s Nursing Team
  • Managing clinical nurse specialists within the integrated arm, namely Allergy, dermatology, and children with medical complexity

The post holder will also have a full understanding of the key functions of the teams and services they manage, ensuring the child and their family/carers experience in wards & departments is of a consistent high standard with an emphasis on safety, dignity, and compassion. The post holder will understand the current local and national objectives for their responsible services and be able to plan and develop strategies to incorporate these into current services.

The post holder will work in partnership with the Clinical lead and General Manager for the services in their portfolio, developing the strategic direction and policy framework, ensuring that the service contributes significantly to the achievement of corporate objectives and that effective governance arrangements are implemented and maintained.
