About the Company
We are seeking an experienced Senior NVH CAE Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of relevant automotive CAE experience in Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH). This is a contract position to start September 2026 until December 2026 but there is a strong possibility that it will continue well into 2027.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have strong expertise in OptiStruct as the primary solver, with extensive experience in automotive NVH analysis, structural dynamics, model correlation, and engineering problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Lead NVH CAE activities across vehicle development programmes, from model preparation through analysis, post-processing, correlation, and reporting.
- Perform NVH analyses using OptiStruct, including modal, frequency response, harmonic, random response, and other relevant dynamic analyses.
- Investigate structural vibration, resonance, modal behaviour, and vibration transmission paths to identify root causes and recommend design improvements.
- Support CAE-to-test correlation, working with physical test data to validate and improve simulation models.
- Work closely with structural, body, chassis, powertrain, acoustic, and test engineering teams to achieve NVH performance targets.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and contribute to the development of NVH CAE methodologies and best practices.
- Prepare technical reports and present CAE findings and engineering recommendations to programme and engineering teams.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
