Senior Observability Engineer - Hedge Fund - £130K+
Our client is one of the world’s leading hedge funds and in London are looking to hire an experienced Monitoring / Observability engineer to grow their core Infrastructure Engineering team and build out their Observability Platform, Automation and Performance function.
You’ll be a key part of the engineering of monitoring, observability and automation solutions, covering key production systems and applications across their entire IT estate.
You'll have the chance to work across telemetry, metrics and tracing and drive scaling to accommodate LLM and Claude endpoint traffic - Huge volumes of data and traffic every second.

You’ll help drive the vision, design and implementation of monitoring and observability systems including Prometheus, Grafana and the Elastic Stack (ELK) etc.
This is a true greenfield opportunity. You’ll be joining right at the start of new investment and a drive to revolutionise their infrastructure.
Requirements:

- Excellent previous experience in a similar Observability role.
- Experience of engineering and supporting solutions (OpenTelemetry, Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk etc)
- Experience of CI/CD, Cloud and DevOps would be ideal
- Experience of automation and scripting with Python and / or Bash
- Experience with tools such as Jenkins, Ansible or Puppet
- Good knowledge of Linux infrastructure
- Experience working in complex, large-scale, distributed IT infrastructures
- Excellent communication skills
