About The Role
You will provide technical expertise and leadership to the continual refinement, implementation, monitoring and delivery of the Region Occupational Health and Wellbeing strategy.
Package: This role sits within Band 3C, Salary range £55,596 - £65,966 Depending on experience.
Location: The successful candidate can be based in Birmingham, Manchester or Milton Keynes.
For Milton Keynes you need to live within 75 minutes of The Quadrant in Milton Keynes.
This is a 6-month fixed term opportunity, with the potential to become permanent.
As this is a role in a regional team, regular travel across NW&C is required. Candidates should be comfortable with frequent travel to client sites, regional offices, or other business locations as needed.
Remote working opportunity! This role requires working in the office 3 days a week.

Your Experience And Skills
What you'll be doing:
Provide specialist technical leadership and expert advice to support the delivery and continuous improvement of Network Rail's occupational health and wellbeing strategy across the route/region. Lead and contribute to projects focused on areas such as medical fitness for work, drugs and alcohol, mental health, health promotion, health surveillance and the management of occupational health hazards, ensuring alignment with organisational standards, policies and improvement frameworks. Act as the regional subject matter expert, identifying emerging risks, legislative changes and opportunities for improvement, while influencing the development of occupational health elements within the Health and Safety Management System. Support the interpretation and use of occupational health data and performance measures to drive continuous improvement, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and the Technical Authority to ensure strategic alignment, and oversee the specification and delivery of occupational health and wellbeing services provided by third-party suppliers to ensure high-quality, innovative and effective support for managers and employees.

What You'll Have
- Must be a member (or equivalent of) the Institute of Occupational Health and safety (IOSH) at Certified (CertIOSH) level or above.
- Proven experience / expertise in occupational health and wellbeing working for a large multi-discipline organisation in a senior position.
- Registered General Nurse (RGN), or a relevant Occupational Health and Wellbeing undergraduate or master's Degree
We would also like but it isn't crucial to have/to be:
- Relevant experience in the railway or construction industries
- Proven experience of ability to develop, implement and manage multiple projects simultaneously
