Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, suitably experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Occupational Therapy team at Raigmore Hospital.

Responsibilities

The post will involve providing a high quality Occupational Therapy services across the acute orthopaedic wards within Raigmore Hospital, Inverness.

  • Provide comprehensive OT assessments and interventions to help maximise individual’s function and independence.
  • Focus on working towards safe and timely discharges through the use of Occupational Therapy skills and interventions.
  • Work closely with community services to work towards a home first approach to patient care.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and team working skills.
  • Work as part of a seven day rota.
  • Provide clinical supervision for junior and support staff and take an active role in Practice Placement Education.
  • Hold a Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
  • Possess a full current driving licence.
