Company Description
OT4me is an independent specialist occupational therapy service based in York, supporting children, young people, and adults across the lifespan. The team provides hands-on assessment and intervention for neurodivergent clients, including those with Dyspraxia and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD), drawing on expertise in Ayres’ Sensory Integration®, attachment, and trauma. OT4me collaborates closely with families, schools, local authorities, case managers, solicitors, and organizations, delivering expert assessments, tribunal support, sensory-friendly audits, training, and vocational assessments. As an approved One Adoption provider, the service offers trauma-informed support to adoptive families. Through practical, evidence-based therapy, OT4me helps individuals build skills, regulate emotions, and overcome sensory, emotional, physical, and social barriers to lead more fulfilling lives.
Role Description
The Senior Occupational Therapist role is a full-time hybrid position based in the United Kingdom, combining in-person work in and around York with some work from home. The role involves:

- Completing comprehensive occupational therapy and sensory integration assessments.
- Planning and delivering evidence-based interventions.
- Monitoring progress for children, young people, and adults.
- Supervising junior team members.
- Contributing to service development and best practice.

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Liaising with families, schools, local authorities, and other professionals.
- Preparing high-quality reports.
- Supporting tribunals and case management processes.
- Delivering training and advice on sensory integration and trauma-informed practice.
The role also includes:
- Maintaining accurate records.
- Ensuring safeguarding and professional standards.
- Participating in continuous professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based practice across the lifespan.
- Postgraduate training in Sensory Integration.
- Experience in supporting neurodivergent clients, those with sensory integration differences, and other related conditions.
- Excellent Communication skills, including clear report writing, collaborative working with families and professionals, and confident presentation or training delivery.
- Experience and interest in Pediatrics, particularly working with neurodivergent children and young people, including Dyspraxia/DCD.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with HCPC (or eligibility to register); membership of professional bodies such as RCOT is desirable.
- Training and experience in Ayres’ Sensory Integration®, Attachment, trauma-informed practice, or related approaches is highly beneficial but not essential.
- Ability to work independently in a hybrid setting, manage a varied caseload, and prioritise workload effectively.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and inclusive, person-centered practice, with a focus on positive outcomes and empowerment.
