About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Brindabella Day and Ambulatory Rehabilitation Service (BDARS) in a permanent HP3 position. This position is ideal for an Occupational Therapist with experience in adult rehabilitation who demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, effective communication skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Working as part of a highly collaborative allied health multidisciplinary team, the Occupational Therapist will contribute to person-centred care planning and support consumers to achieve their identified goals. The team is led by the HP4 Allied Health Team Lead and the HP5 BDARS Manager, fostering a positive and professional environment that values innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

The successful applicant will provide occupational therapy assessment and rehabilitation to adults accessing short-term, goal-based rehabilitation programs across a range of presentations. The role involves delivering evidence-based interventions aimed at maximising independence, participation, and quality of life. Clinical responsibilities include upper limb rehabilitation following neurological events, cognitive assessment and retraining, activities of daily living (ADL) assessment and retraining, and the prescription of short-term equipment to support rehabilitation goals.

Comprehensive clinical support and supervision are available through experienced HP4 Occupational Therapists, including the UCH Occupational Therapy Manager and Occupational Therapy Clinical Lead. The successful applicant will also benefit from the support of a skilled and experienced group of HP3 Occupational Therapy colleagues, providing excellent opportunities for professional growth, knowledge sharing, and ongoing development.
