Liquid Personnel is recruiting Senior Occupational Therapist for its client's Independent Living Service Team at Bolton.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Independent Living Service in Bolton on a 3-month contract. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Disability Officers and Community Assessment Officers, working alongside specialist Sensory and Telecare teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity to use your clinical expertise to help adults maximise their independence, improve wellbeing and remain safely within their communities.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Undertake assessments and reviews of need in accordance with the Care Act 2014.
  • Assess individuals' functional needs and identify appropriate support.
  • Provide specialist advice on techniques, equipment and adaptations.
  • Support people to maximise their independence and wellbeing.
  • Signpost and connect individuals with universal, community and voluntary services.
  • Work collaboratively with service users, carers and colleagues to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Support colleagues across other areas of the service when required.
  • Contribute to innovative approaches across health and social care.
  • Help improve the experience and outcomes of service users and carers.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with individuals, families and carers.
  • Participate effectively in interdisciplinary and partnership working.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have,

  • Current professional registration as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Strong post-qualified OT experience.
  • Experience working within Adult Social Care, community services or a similar environment.
  • Knowledge and practical application of the Care Act 2014.
  • Experience assessing functional needs and recommending appropriate equipment and adaptations.
  • A person-centred, strengths-based approach to assessment and intervention.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to work confidently as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes.
