Are you a passionate Occupational Therapist looking for a new and exciting challenge to develop your skills within an inpatient older peoples mental health care setting? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a for Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our well-established team at Lynfield Mount Hospital.

The opportunity is based on the Dementia Assessment Unit working with older adult with complex needs.

Closing Date: 9th August

Shortlisting Date: 11th August

Interview Date: 20th August

Working as part of the ward therapy team which consists of 0.4 WTE team leader (currently a physiotherapist), 0.8WTE Specialist Occupational Therapist (this vacancy), 0.4 WTE Specialist Physiotherapist, 0.8 WTE Therapy Support Worker and an Activity Coordinator.

As a specialist occupational therapist, you will complete comprehensive assessments of functional ability, deliver individualised treatment plans and support recovery and transition from hospital to home or cares setting. You will work collaboratively with the wider MDT both on the ward and in the community. In addition you will be responsible for the support and development of the occupational therapy and activity team at the unit.

We are seeking an innovative practitioner, able to drive service development, manage a complex caseload, and support the leadership within the occupational therapy and activity team on the Dementia Assessment Unit.
