Senior Odoo Developer
We are looking for an experienced Senior Odoo Developer to join our team and play a key role in the development, customization, and implementation of Odoo ERP solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Odoo development and Python, with the ability to translate business requirements into robust, scalable technical solutions.
You will work closely with Functional Consultants, Project Managers, QA teams, and clients to develop and enhance Odoo solutions, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and ensure high standards of code quality, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and implement Odoo ERP solutions based on business and technical requirements.
- Develop custom Odoo modules and extend existing applications using Python and the Odoo framework.
- Design and implement clean, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions.
- Work closely with Functional Consultants and Project Managers to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Develop and maintain third-party API integrations and other system integrations.
- Customize Odoo workflows, functionality, and business processes to meet client requirements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across Odoo applications and integrations.
- Identify opportunities to improve application performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Perform database optimization and ensure efficient use of PostgreSQL.
- Support Odoo version upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Manage and support Odoo deployments across Odoo.sh and on-premise/self-hosted environments.
- Write clean, secure, well-structured, and maintainable code in line with development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high standards of code quality.
- Use Git and version control practices to manage development work and releases.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation relating to development, customizations, integrations, and deployments.
- Support testing, release activities, production deployments, and resolution of post-release issues.
- Stay up to date with new Odoo versions, development practices, and relevant technologies.

Required Skills
- Experience: 4+ years of software development experience with strong hands-on Odoo development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Odoo development and multiple Odoo versions.
- Strong expertise in Python, PostgreSQL, Odoo ORM, and the Odoo Framework.
- Experience developing custom Odoo modules and extending existing Odoo functionality.
- Experience with Odoo.sh, on-premise/self-hosted deployments, migrations, and version upgrades.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and third-party system integrations.
- Good understanding of Odoo architecture, security, access rights, record rules, and database structure.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and database optimization.
- Experience using Git and version control systems.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good understanding of software development best practices, including clean code, testing, and version control.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the wider project and development team.

Desirable Skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Docker and Linux.
- Experience with cloud-based deployments.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Exposure to enterprise ERP implementation projects.
- Experience integrating Odoo with third-party enterprise applications.
- Experience working with JavaScript, OWL, XML, QWeb, or other Odoo frontend technologies.
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing complex Odoo implementations.
