Senior Offensive Security Consultant - Remote - Travel to office once a month - Up to £60K (Depending on experience)

My client is looking for a Senior Offensive Security Consultant to join their cyber security team, working on a variety of technical security engagements for clients across different industries.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys identifying vulnerabilities, understanding how systems can be compromised, and helping organizations strengthen their security posture. You’ll work across a broad range of environments and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in multiple areas of offensive security.

The Role

Depending on your experience and interests, projects may include:

  • Web application and API penetration testing
  • Internal and external infrastructure assessments
  • Wireless security testing
  • Mobile application security
  • Red and Purple Team engagements
  • Physical security assessments
  • Hardware and device security testing
  • Development of penetration testing tools and methodologies

You’ll work directly with clients, clearly communicate technical findings and provide practical recommendations that help organizations understand and reduce their security risk.

What They're Looking For

You’ll ideally have:

  • Professional experience in penetration testing, red teaming, bug bounty programmes, CTFs or security research
  • Strong understanding of networks, operating systems, applications and common attack techniques
  • Experience with tools such as Burp Suite, Metasploit, Caido, ZAP, Nessus, Cobalt Strike or other C2 frameworks
  • Scripting or development experience using Python, Bash and/or PowerShell
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to communicate technical security issues clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in ethical hacking and keeping up with the evolving threat landscape

Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CRT, CTM, OSWA, OSEP, or CTL would be beneficial.
