Senior Onboarding Coordinator
Are you highly organised, detail-focused and passionate about delivering an exceptional candidate experience? Join Elysium Healthcare as an Senior Onboarding Coordinator to support new starters through every step of their journey — from offer stage to their first day on site.
This is a 12-month fixed term position where you will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure every new colleague has a smooth and positive onboarding experience. You’ll manage your own onboarding caseload, working to defined SLAs and ensuring all employment checks are completed accurately and within required timeframes. Your attention to detail will be essential as you check application and placement details, draft contracts, and ensure correct salaries and bonuses are issued.
You will be responsible for processing, collating and validating a full range of pre-employment compliance checks, including DBS and police clearances, right-to-work documentation, employment references, full work histories, occupational health outcomes and professional qualification evidence. Ensuring full compliance with internal policies and external regulatory standards will be central to your work.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Deputise for the Onboarding Manager during absence or meetings
- Produce detailed reports highlighting findings relating to candidate files
- Collate weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual data to provide accurate and clear reports to internal stakeholders
- Make decisions and promote full accountability for any outcomes relating to risk assessments
- Manage file approval and communicate any trends or inconsistencies
- Manage internal contract changes accuracy in line with the internal standards guide
- Managing an onboarding caseload against specific SLAs
- Checking application and placement details match prior to offer
- Accurately drafting employment contracts and ensuring the correct salary and benefits are offered
- Ensuring equal opportunities and equality & diversity are promoted
- Processing, collating and reviewing all pre-employment compliance checks for validity such as –
- UK DBS outcomes and Localised Police checks
- Right to work
- Employment references & full work histories
- Occupational health outcomes
- Professional qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Experience of following specific legislation, policy and procedures
- Experience in managing conflicting priorities
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships
- Experience of working within a compliance or HR admin team
- A good level of general education A Level or equivalent (including Math’s & English)
- Computer literate on all Microsoft packages especially Excel
- Competent in the use of databases (Preferably Eploy and Unit 4)
- A basic understanding of employment law for contract administration
- Ability to plan and organize and prioritize workload and use initiative
- Able to deal with demanding internal and external clients
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure at times and effective at working to deadlines.
