Job Purpose
This role is part of our Personalised Content team. We create emotive yet conversion-focused ideas, products, and campaigns at scale and speed. Our specialty is hyper-personalised, digital communications that change perceptions, shape new behaviours, and shift market share for our clients including eBay, Ancestry, Walmart, and more!
We have an exciting new role available for a Senior Online Merchandiser within our Fashion Vertical. We’re seeking a candidate with a deep passion for fashion, retail, and e-commerce to elevate our online presence.
Joining our Merchandising team as we partner with eBay UK, you’ll help produce a range of tailored shopping experiences. You will be responsible for prioritising merchandising based on conversion and performance across promotional and seasonal campaigns. Additionally, your role will involve assisting with wireframing, sourcing and curating inventory, launching campaigns, and tracking performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for daily/weekly management of category pages, ensuring site standards are always achieved or exceeded.
- Serve as the primary owner of the eBay UK stakeholder relationship, establishing clear expectations regarding project scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Manage client briefs from start to finish, supporting inventory planning, wireframing, campaign and events builds and QA-ing, ensuring successful delivery to client deadlines across multiple activities.
- Build a full understanding of the clients’ content management systems and objectives, advising on the solution that best meets their needs.
- Ensure client requirements are met whilst upholding both DEPT® and eBay values.
- Construct the optimum product range for the target market by balancing price architecture, product variety and other parameters.
- Source inventory - uploading, merchandising and continuously optimising edits, campaigns and category pages.
- To ensure all campaigns/edits are prioritised consistently across desktop, mobile and CRM platforms.
- Conduct regular performance analysis and feeding insight and proposed actions into Lead Merchandisers and clients for weekly trading reports.
- Conducting trend research and competitor analysis for weekly/quarterly planning.

What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 3-4 years merchandising experience ideally within fashion, some knowledge of digital market places is desirable.
- Someone highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven experience of effectively managing multiple stakeholders at varying levels.
- A good eye for style and retail trends and an interest in current and upcoming trends.
- The ability to identify better ways of working/new processes as and when required.
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritise, meet deadlines under pressure and make the best use of resources; has a good sense of urgency and measurement of risk.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You are ambitious with the ability to think strategically, communicate for understanding and contribute something new, demonstrating tenacity to learn and grow.
- Ability to take ownership and accountability.
- Experience with various CMS and the ability to quickly grasp new processes or learn new tools.
- Proficiency in Excel and Google Workspace.
- An understanding of SEO principles & AI and its practical application.
- Analytical experience and a degree of business acumen.
