Role Description

We are looking for a Senior Operational Resilience Officer to join our Operational Resilience Team, leading on resilience by design across business change initiatives. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring resilience considerations are embedded from the earliest stages of change, helping to protect the organisation's operational resilience while driving innovation and transformation.

Location: This role is based in our Guildford office, please note that this is a hybrid working role with the expectation that you attend the office 2 days a week.

Salary Information

  • Pay: Circa £60,000 per year.
  • Pay is based on relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary is only one part of our total reward package.

About You

  • You will work closely with Change and Project teams to ensure resilience requirements are embedded across all change initiatives.
  • You will assess proposed changes and associated resilience activities to ensure they do not increase the organisation's Operational Resilience risk profile.
  • You will ensure resilience controls and recovery plans are developed and tested ahead of final implementation.
  • You will support the integration of changes impacting Important Business Suppliers into resilience activities, including impact tolerances, mapping, vulnerabilities, and framework updates.
  • You will collaborate with the Head of Third Party Risk Management and cross-functional teams to embed resilience considerations into strategic planning.
  • You will identify opportunities to leverage technology and innovative solutions to enhance organisational resilience.
  • You will work alongside technology, risk management, and business teams to integrate resilience features into new and existing processes and systems.
  • You will facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to drive resilience outcomes and support informed decision-making.
  • You will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the Operational Resilience framework, tools, data, and governance processes.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in operational resilience, change management, risk management, or a related discipline.
  • Experience planning and facilitating workshops of small to medium complexity.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to assess business change impacts and identify resilience risks and opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and translate ideas into practical, actionable plans.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship management capability.
  • Experience working within a regulated environment.
  • Knowledge of third-party risk management and supplier resilience considerations.
  • Experience supporting operational resilience frameworks, mapping, and impact tolerance activities.
  • Responsible Artificial Intelligence usage and an awareness of how AI can support risk management, resilience, and operational effectiveness.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across a broad range of departments and organisational levels.
