Operations Senior Associate | Private Credit | London

Our client is a privately owned investment group focused on emerging markets, combining decades of experience with financial discipline and local knowledge to deliver long-term value for investors. Their core focus is emerging market private credit, with complementary strategies across trade finance, liquid markets, and special situations.
The role
This is a broad, end-to-end Operations role supporting the firm's investment activity across multiple strategies. The successful candidate will take ownership of transaction lifecycle management from trade capture through to settlement and maturity, working closely with Investment, Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and external providers to keep everything running accurately and on time.

What you'll do
- Own the full operational lifecycle of transactions: trade capture, confirmations, margining, reconciliations, and settlements
- Act as the central point of coordination across Investment, Finance, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and external providers
- Oversee the fund administrator, reviewing outputs and resolving breaks
- Manage daily treasury: cash management, funding movements, cash flow projections
- Produce daily and periodic MIS, including P&L and liquidity reporting
- Own and develop the firm's portfolio management system and market data
- Identify and lead process improvements and automation opportunities
- Support or lead operational projects, system enhancements, and onboarding of new strategies

What we're looking for
- Operations experience within asset management, private credit, alternatives, or banking
- Broad technical knowledge across products and financial markets
- Strong understanding of transaction lifecycles and fund operational processes
- Comfortable in a lean, dynamic environment with real ownership and responsibility
- Systems-minded, with a genuine interest in process improvement
