Purpose

As Operations Engineer you oversee the coordination and execution of operational activities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves managing daily operations, optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards, and providing technical support to the onshore and offshore teams.

You ensure safe and continuous running of the operation both onshore and offshore. You meet budgetary constraints and optimization for cost reductions and you deputize as Operations Manager as and when required.

Responsibilities

  • You coordinate and manage daily operational activities at the shorebase.
  • You monitor and optimize operational processes to ensure efficiency and productivity.
  • You develop and implement operational procedures and best practices.
  • You ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, and quality standards.
  • You provide technical support and guidance to onshore and offshore teams.
  • You liaise with various departments, including logistics, maintenance, and production, to ensure smooth operations.
  • You conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
  • You analyze operational data and prepare reports for management review.
  • You participate in the planning and execution of projects and shutdowns.
  • You troubleshoot and resolve operational issues in a timely manner.
  • You collaborate with contractors and vendors to ensure the availability of materials and services.
  • You ensure effective communication and coordination between all stakeholders.

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Petroleum, Chemical, or related field).

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the oil and gas industry
