Senior Operations Manager - Wakefield Talking Therapies

Job Introduction

Are you an experienced operational leader looking for an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in primary care mental health services?

We are looking for a Senior Operations Manager to join Turning Point and play a key role in leading our successful and innovative NHS Talking Therapies service in Wakefield.

Our NHS Talking Therapies service supports people experiencing anxiety and depression, providing timely access to evidence-based psychological therapies that help people improve their wellbeing, build resilience and move forward in their lives.

This is an exciting opportunity to operationally lead a committed, skilled and values-driven team, ensuring the service continues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care for the communities we support.

The role is based in Wakefield, with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. Regular face-to-face working remains important, helping you build strong relationships, support a positive team culture and provide visible leadership across all levels of the service.

Role Responsibility

Established in 2009, the service has a strong track record of supporting people across Wakefield. As Senior Operations Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operational delivery of the service, supporting performance, quality, workforce wellbeing and continuous improvement. You will have the opportunity to shape service development, drive innovation and ensure that people accessing support receive the right care at the right time.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
