Our client, a respected UK regulator, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager within Investigations to lead their investigations function and deliver a high-quality, fair, and efficient service that protects the public and maintains confidence in their profession.

💥 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and strategic leadership for the investigations function, ensuring all cases are managed consistently, proportionately, and in line with statutory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi-disciplinary team of investigators and managers, embedding a culture of learning, quality, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee case progression and resource planning to ensure timely resolution of investigations and effective risk management.
  • Use operational data and insight to identify trends, improve processes, and drive service excellence.
  • Work closely with legal and casework teams to ensure decision-making is robust, evidence-based, and defensible.
  • Act as a senior escalation point for complex or sensitive cases and provide clear advice to senior leadership and committees.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy, policy development, and stakeholder engagement, representing the organisation externally where appropriate.

💥 About You

  • Significant leadership experience in a regulatory, legal, compliance, or investigations environment.
  • Strong understanding of investigative best practice, case management, and the relevant legislative or regulatory framework.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate high-volume casework teams while driving continuous improvement.
  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills, with the confidence to handle complex and sensitive matters.
  • Skilled at engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic decisions.
