Overall Purpose of the Job
We are looking for an experienced Senior Operations Support Engineer to oversee the safe, efficient, and cost-effective management of workshop, logistics, stores, purchasing, and certification activities. This role is critical in ensuring operational readiness and supporting customer requirements through effective resource planning, inventory management, and equipment maintenance.
Key Activities And Accountabilities
- Coordinate workshop, logistics, stores, purchasing, and certification activities to support operational demands
- Liaise with Operational Supervisors to ensure equipment and resources are available when required
- Support procurement activities and work with suppliers to achieve best value and service
- Manage inventory levels, stock control, stocktaking, and cycle counting activities
- Maintain and improve maintenance, stores, and purchasing procedures
- Promote collaboration and resource sharing across locations and business units
- Ensure equipment is maintained, serviced, certified, and fit for purpose
- Lead incident reporting and investigations, implementing corrective actions where required
- Identify and mitigate operational, safety, and environmental risks
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and procedures

Job Knowledge And Qualifications
- Engineering Qualification
- Computer skills (MS Office, AutoCAD desirable)
- Previous supervisory experience within workshop, logistics, stores, supply chain, or operational support functions
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Experience managing inventory, procurement, and equipment maintenance processes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
