Location: Desborough – Hybrid (minimum 50% office based)

Contract Type: Permanent, 40 hours per week

Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a creative, passionate and self-motivated Senior Designer or Brand (mid-level) Designer for Fantasie Swimwear.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Fashion/Contour and proven industry experience – minimum 2 years, with the role offered at Brand (mid-level) or Senior Designer level based on skills and experience.

You will design and develop technically viable garments.
You must be forward thinking, have strong creative skills and be able to translate ideas into commercial products.
Be able to present and discuss ideas at all levels.
Must have a high level of competency in Photoshop, Illustrator and Lectra Modaris.
Must be a team player with the ability to mentor and manage others, be highly organised and passionate about the brand.
Able to travel, including trips overseas to sales conferences and for other business requirements.
Role & Responsibility
- Sourcing and developing materials/designs within cost and fit standards.
- Researching trends and innovations, designing new products and planning ahead.
- Fitting and grading to our agreed fit standard and aiding other team members to develop in this area.
- Present in various meetings at all levels.
- Working to critical path deadlines and supporting fellow team members.
- Working with all associated design processes, including pattern work, photoshoots, costings and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrating brand and market awareness and be able to interpret market requirements.
- Be support to the Head of Fantasie.

Qualifying Criteria
- Excellent creative skills.
- A highly organised person, with the ability to manage your own workload/dept. priorities and support the team.
- Be a great communicator, able to present ideas at all levels within the organisation.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator and Lectra Modaris skills.
- Degree in Fashion/Contour and relevant industry experience (minimum 2 years).
