Principal Oracle DBA

Up to £575 p/d Inside IR35
MoJ SC Clearance essential
U.K based remote working with occasional travel to client sites only

This is a senior technical role within a DBA team focused on modernising Oracle database operations and moving towards a true DevOps approach. You’ll be tasked with mentoring and supporting other DBA’s within the team and assist with automation, monitoring and alerting.

  • Strong Oracle DBA experience across 10g/11g/12c
  • Extensive experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12
  • Strong AWS experience – EC2, RDS, Lambda & S3
  • Expert Oracle SQL tuning – execution plans, indexing, hints & optimiser behaviour
  • Strong PL/SQL application upgrades and migrations
  • Oracle on Unix/Linux environments
  • Experience with RMAN & OEM
  • Installation, patching and upgrades
  • WebLogic, clustering & JVM tuning
  • Oracle SOA, Portal & IAM experience
  • EBS Concurrent Managers
  • Automation and scripting of DBA administration
  • CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Git and AWS CloudFormation
  • Agile/DevOps delivery experience
