About The Role
Our established client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle Developer to join their expanding team. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s core systems and ensuring the seamless operation of their large-scale information systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in Oracle PL/SQL development, with a proven track record of delivering complex solutions within demanding environments. The Senior Oracle Developer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, project managers, and other developers, to design, develop, and optimize database applications. Qualifications
The successful candidate should have approximately 10 or more years of solid experience in Oracle PL/SQL development. A strong understanding of database design, performance tuning, and data modeling is essential. Prior experience working within large-scale information systems environments is highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in configuration management and version control practices. Knowledge of financial industry applications or experience in the financial sector will be considered an advantage. A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, with additional certifications in Oracle development being a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Designing, developing, and maintaining complex PL/SQL procedures, functions, and packages to support business requirements.
- Analyzing existing systems, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance performance and reliability.
- Writing efficient SQL queries and scripts, conducting code reviews, and ensuring adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborating with business analysts to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Participating in system testing, troubleshooting, and resolving database-related issues promptly.
- Maintaining documentation of system configurations, changes, and procedures to ensure compliance and facilitate future development efforts.
- Mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance.
